Nom Alert: Simple Recipe for Sriracha, Mango, Shrimp Tacos!

As we all know, adding Sriracha to pretty much anything will take a recipe from good to great, but you can't get much better than this combination of mango, shrimp, and Sriracha aioli, so we had to share.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe mango
  • 3 limes
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 of a red onion
  • 1/4 of a head of iceberg lettuce
  • Cilantro
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2/3 cup canola oil
  • About 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce (I use Huy Fong brand)
  • Huy Fong Sriracha
  • Corn or flour tortillas
  • Peeled and de-veined shrimp (16 to 20)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil

Steps:

    1. Mango salsa: Dice the mango and red onion and combine it with the chili garlic sauce, chopped cilantro and the juice of half a lime and mix it all together.
    2. Aioli: Combine the juice of one lemon and one and a half limes with the egg yolk and slowly emulsify the canola oil into it then season with salt and pepper and Sriracha to taste.
    3. Shrimp: Season with salt, pepper and olive oil and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side.
    4. Iceberg lettuce: Core and quarter a head of lettuce and finely shred it. Dress it with lemon, olive oil and salt and pepper.
    5. Put the tortillas in the oven and warmed them before plating. You'll want to warm or toast the tortillas before you plate.
