Many Most people think Sriracha is the product made exclusively by Huy Fong Foods. This is incorrect. Sriracha is actually similar to saying ‘BBQ’ in that it's a TYPE of sauce, but there could be many different flavors, recipes, manufacturers, etc. This is why we’re beginning to see things like Tabasco Sriracha, a Sriracha Burger at McDonalds, Sriracha Potato Chips, and more.
For good reason, Huy Fong’s Sriracha with the Rooster on the bottle and the iconic green cap is the most popular in the US, and thus the confusion.
