It's your favorite sauce (or at least it should be), but you're probably pronouncing it incorrectly. The vast majority of people believe Sriracha is pronounced SIR-RACHA, but the proper pronunciation is actually ‘see-ROTCH-ah’.
Don't worry though, no matter how you say it, everyone will know what you’re referring to.

Yeah, the picture on the website has it wrong, but the video below it has it right. /See Raa Chaa/
“This is the most often mispronounced word in the English language.” LOL, Robert you are joking, yes? Think about what you wrote dude . . .
The correct pronunciation of Sriracha is SEE-ra-cha. This is the most often mispronounced word in the English language. Google how to pronounce this word and find a Thai speaker. They can set you straight.
OK, I must be wrong, but if you think about it: someone in the West converted the name from its native tongue to English so that its pronunciation could be approximated in our language. But then it’s not pronounced like it’s spelled in English! Why not just spell it Siracha??
Well, whatever, it’s great sauce!

How can it be pronounced see-ROTCH-ah, when it is spelled Sriracha; sree-ROTCH-ah? Many of my Viet, Thai, and Korean friends all pronounce it sree-ROTCH-ah, and it matches the spelling. I think too many people say it their own way because the “sr” consonants together can be difficult to pronounce. Something to think about. Best sauce hands down.
