The Top 7 Best Green Foods to Add Sriracha to

#1 Guacamole: If you like your guacamole hot, add some Sriracha to a festive St. Patty’s Day guacamole recipe. You can make a homemade guacamole with just a handful of ingredients. Mash together two super ripe avocados, a drizzle of freshly squeezed lemon juice, half of a chopped red onion, a chopped garlic clove, a handful of cilantro, and add as much sriracha as your heart desires! Enjoy with chopped veggies or tortilla chips.

#2 Spinach Dip: Make a healthy and spicy spinach dip with two bags of fresh spinach, one yellow onion, two cloves of garlic, one super ripe avocado, and one cup of unsweetened full-fat Greek yogurt. Drizzle in as much Sriracha as you would like for a healthy spin on the traditional creamy spinach dip. You can enjoy this dip with your favorite chips, dip, or added on top of your favorite homemade soup.

#3 Spicy Pesto: Add some heat to a homemade pesto recipe by blending together two cups of fresh basil, ½ cup of pine nuts, two cloves of garlic, ½ cup of olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, and pepper, and Sriracha to taste. Enjoy over pasta, spiralized zucchini, or enjoyed as a healthy dip.

#4 Leprechaun Salsa: Make a festive salsa dip with added health benefits. Whip up your favorite salsa recipe, or purchase one and add a teaspoon of spirulina. You would be shocked at how little spirulina you need to turn your salsa into an instant festive appetizer! Add as much Sriracha as you want for added heat, and enjoy with chips or veggies.

#5 Avocado Hummus: Make a festive hummus by blending an avocado into a homemade hummus, or make things easy, and buy hummus from the store, add it to the blender with an avocado, and add Sriracha for added heat. Enjoy with celery sticks to make this snack even more festive.

#6 Cilantro Green Sauce: Make a delicious and spicy cilantro green sauce with Sriracha, a handful of fresh cilantro, ½ cup of olive oil, one or two garlic cloves, salt, and pepper. Enjoy as a marinade, or drizzled over pasta.

#7 “Creamed” Spinach: Here’s a healthy spin on the traditional creamed spinach. Add four cups of fresh spinach to a skillet with ghee, garlic cloves, and Sriracha. Saute until wilted, and enjoy as a festive side dish!

Not only do they taste delicious, but they are also fun to make, and eat, and something you can bring to a potluck at work, or enjoyed with friends and family to celebrate this fun holiday.
